Babes on Bikes

Today Laura, Trish and myself went and rode the Iron Eagle bike route. Next Sunday these gals are doing this triathlon. This will be Laura's 1st Tri!! You GO Girl!

Our ride began with a quick intermission to watch a Cheney boyscout troop performing a small Memorial Day parade. I am so proud of those we are honoring today. I know many families are thankful for members of their family that have returned safely from war but that is not true of everyone. I would like to take a moment and thank those we have lost in battle that I may for my freedom.

The ride today was a killer. Now if you would have asked me during the first 5 miles I would have said, "This rocks!" Why, you may ask, well we had an AMAZING tail wind. This same wind however when we flipped and headed back was not nearly as fun. In fact, it was downright tough! I was working my tail off trying to keep my cadence at 90 and nearly in my lowest gear! Trish and Laura were really diggin' in, they were rocking! Nice job ladies. This ride for me was the first time back in the saddle in over a month. Needless to say my legs not to mention some other chick parts were talking to me!

So thankful for friends to workout with. It justs make finishing your ride that much sweeter. Love ya ladies!

Thank YOU for riding with us today! You were so sweet to figure out the route for us and to come along for the adventure :) I agree with you that the wind was horrible! But I am so proud of you for pushing yourself to finish strong! You did great out there today and as always, I LOVE riding with you! Just a little sneak peek of what summer is going to be like workout buddy! XOXO

Glad to see you back out there on your bike! Regardless of the head wind, it looks like you girls had a blast! And you are right, having people to work out with makes it so much more fun!
