The Mighty Hunter

Quinn shows off with the turkeys!

So...what does happen out in the woods on the wild turkey hunt? The endless hours of scouting before the hunt can only be compared to waiting in line for a sale say at Mel's or Nordys. Yet the dedication does pay off as the turkeys tree for the night and can then be found near that tree in the wee hours of the next morning... and the hunt begins. On the first day of hunting season (last Tuesday) my hubby proudly brought home the first turkey of the year. His good friend, and fellow fisherman, Quinn, also took home the prize. This week we have had turkey and stuffing, turkey sandwiches, turkey soup and tonight...turkey enchiladas. It's a bit like Bubba Gump Shrimp around here. Here's to the hunters!
